RALEIGH, N.C. . . . North State Bank (the "Bank") promoted Emily Molgaard to commercial loan portfolio manager for its West Raleigh office, announced Amanda M. Lloyd, executive vice president and chief people officer. In this position, Molgaard will help businesses along the burgeoning Blue Ridge Corridor access the funding they need to grow and expand.

Lloyd said, “Since joining North State, Emily has excelled in every role she’s undertaken. With a customer service mindset and a background in accounting credit analysis, she will be a strong commercial portfolio manager. As West Raleigh continues to experience tremendous growth, North State Bank is growing right along with it. Emily knows Raleigh and all that is happening here, and she knows how to help customers achieve their goals.”

Molgaard, a Raleigh native, joined North State Bank in 2017 as a lead teller, quickly progressed to relationship banking specialist, and then moved to junior analyst in credit administration. She also supports the Bank and her community by serving on the planning committee for North State Bank’s Summer Salute for Transitions LifeCare. Prior to joining the Bank, she worked in customer-facing roles in retail, food services, banking, and healthcare. A graduate of East Carolina University, she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and Accounting.

"Raleigh is home, and I enjoy watching the city grow both up and out,” said Molgaard. “West Raleigh is an exciting place to be with a lot of dynamic development on the horizon. I am happy to be in a position to be part of the growth and help businesses serve this area. North State has been part of the fabric of Raleigh’s growth for nearly 25 years and, as a community bank, works hand-in-hand with customers, helping them make bold, impactful choices and decisions.”

Founded in 2000, North State Bank is an independent, full-service community bank serving Wake and New Hanover counties through seven offices and serves the community management association industry through its division, CommunityPLUS.
