RALEIGH, N.C. . . . North State Bank promoted senior vice president Heather Sirgany to mortgage division president, announced Amanda Lloyd, executive vice president and chief people officer. She will continue to direct the Bank’s efforts to grow the mortgage division, which is already a substantial business line for the Bank, and to deliver exceptional service and results for customers, associates, and the Bank.

“This is a well-deserved promotion,” said Lloyd. “Heather earned the division president role through hard work, going above and beyond, and achieving solid results under her leadership. She has our full confidence and support in this new role, and we look forward to her continued success.”

Sirgany has worked in the banking industry for nearly 30 years, holding positions at TowneBank Mortgage, SunTrust (now Truist), Harrington Bank and RBC Bank before joining North State. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in finance from The College of William and Mary in Virginia and is a graduate of the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce Leadership Durham program.

“The heart of our success lies in the amazing team at North State,” said Sirgany. “The knowledge and energy of our lenders, the diligence and expertise of everyone in mortgage operations, and the support and leadership offered by executive management are a winning combination for our customers, partners, and the Bank. The markets we serve are growing and are considered some of the best in the country to live, work, and raise a family. North State Bank’s Mortgage Division is here to meet the mortgage needs of everyone who wants to call this ‘home.’ Our products are competitive, and we continue to be a leader in mortgage technology. I’m excited about our future.”

Founded in 2000, North State Bank is an independent, full-service community bank serving Wake and New Hanover counties through seven offices. The Bank operates four unique business line divisions: CommunityPLUS—for community management associations, Government Lending—including SBA, Mortgage, and a Specialized Lending Group (SLG) for developers and builders.
